Prayer Requests?

Welcome!

Spirit in the Wilderness Church of God is a place of worship and a beacon of hope and transformation. Our mission is to bring the Gospel to those trapped in their wilderness, echoing the words of Hosea 2:14, ‘Speaking tenderly.’ We are a Spirit-empowered church driven by a deep desire to speak tenderly to the lost, guiding them out of the darkness and into the light of Christ’s love and salvation! Spirit in the Wilderness Church is where the emphasis on community outreach goes hand in hand with our mission and vision as a church.

Vision of Spirit in the Wilderness Church of God

Placing God first, trusting him to guide us, and be willing vessels to spread the Gospel. Anchoring those who are trapped in their wilderness so that God can “Speak Tenderly” to them and transform them!

Mission of Spirit in the Wilderness Church of God

  • Be ready for all drawn into the Wilderness and to foster the light of Christ so that there is a “Door of Hope” waiting for them
  • To hear and relay His voice through divine encounters, prayers, and intercession of those trapped
  • “Speaking Tenderly” to all those who are forgotten through our Community Outreaches – Clothing Drives, Food Drives, and Prayer Drives
  • Fulfilling the ‘Great Commission’ of “Going, creating disciples, and baptizing in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

What we believe as a Church!

Our Church of God Declaration of Faith

* In the Verbal Inspiration of the Bible

* In one Eternal God existing in three persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost

* That Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of the Father, conceived of the Holy Ghost, and born of the Virgin Mary. That Jesus was crucified, buried, and rose from the dead. That He ascended to heaven and is today at the right hand of the Father as our Intercessor.

* That all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and that repentance is commanded of God for all and necessary for forgiveness of sins.

* That justification, regeneration, and the new birth are wrought by faith in the blood of Jesus Christ.

* In sanctification subsequent to the new birth, through faith in the blood of Christ; through the Word, and by the Holy Ghost.

* Holiness to be God’s standard of living for His people.

* In the baptism with the Holy Ghost subsequent to a clean heart.

* In speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance and that it is the initial evidence of the baptism in the Holy Ghost.

* In water baptism by immersion, and all who repent should be baptized in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

* Divine healing is provided for all in the atonement.

* In the Lord’s Supper and washing of the saints’ feet.

* In the premillennial second coming of Jesus: Firstly, upon his return where He will resurrect the righteous dead and to catch away the living saints to Him in the air; Secondly, to reign on the earth a thousand years.

* In the bodily resurrection; eternal life for the righteous, and eternal punishment for the wicked
